My Passion
"Who are we without our passion? It is an asset that drives us into the problems we solve. It is the motivational engine for finding the best solutions to the challenges we face." - Blair Enns
Ever since I was young, I’ve always loved photography. I used to take pictures of cloudy blue skies with my flip phone in the evenings after school. I was especially drawn to days when the sky was completely overcast with huge cumulus clouds—the big, puffy ones. The shadows they cast always intrigued me. Back then, it felt as if the universe was slowly revealing a special side of itself just to me. How could I not be moved?
As I continue to grow and move forward in life, I often find myself reflecting on those moments. The times when I would lie in the middle of a busy downtown street as enthusiastic motorists passed by, honking their horns. The times I would trek for miles through the heavily wooded terrain of rural Mississippi—covered from head to toe in mosquito bites, drenched in sweat, scratched and bruised by thorny bushes—all for the chance to capture that one perfect shot. It felt like a magical journey. In many ways, I’m still chasing that magic.
Today, my goal is to grow and refine my ability to capture those awe-inspiring, fleeting moments. These moments exist in all of our lives. My dream is to present them in a visually unique way—one that can be shared with and appreciated by the world, one frame at a time.
